Tom Millhoff Appointed Vice President of Business Development at Helio Micro Utility

Silicon Valley native brings 20 years of business building experience to company team

Berkeley, Calif., July 28, 2008/ -- Helio Micro Utility, Inc. (Helio mU), the green power pioneer selling solar energy without the upfront cost of panels, today announced the appointment of Tom Millhoff to the post of Vice President of Business Development. Helio mU provides green electricity to homeowners and commercial entities through the innovative Helio Green Energy Plan™, with no up front cost to install and manage solar panels.

Tom is a Silicon Valley native with 22 years of experience growing businesses for service and technology-based ventures. As Vice President of Business Development for Helio Micro Utility, he is opening commercial and large scale client markets for the company statewide.

Prior to Helio mU, Tom most recently served as the Chairman of National Car Wash Systems, where his operational activities at the company resulted in 100% growth over three years in a mature industry. As a Vice President at CitySearch Tom oversaw Consumer Marketing, Product Management and Community Content, and was instrumental in all aspects of the rollout of their first five markets.

Tom earned his brand management pedigree at Clorox, where he launched Lemon Fresh Pine-Sol, growing the product into a $30 million brand in six months. At Hewlett Packard he streamlined the DeskJet Printer product development process and produced the first European User Market Profile. As a consultant for Edgar, Dunn & Co., Tom assessed emerging technology markets and managed financial service engagements. Tom has also led systems integration projects for Fortune 500 clients at Andersen Consulting.

Tom holds a Masters of Business Administration from UCLA and has served on the Boards of the Sierra Angels and Golden Capital Network.
