Helio Micro Utility Announces the Appointment of Steve Huang as Vice President of Operations / General Counsel
Berkeley, CA, September 9, 2008/ Helio Micro Utility, (Helio mU) the green power pioneer selling solar energy without the upfront cost of panels, today announced the appointment of solar industry veteran, Steve Huang, to the post of Vice President of Operations / General Counsel. Helio mU provides solar electricity to commercial, residential and not-for-profit customers with little or no initial capital outlay through long term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
Steve Huang is a veteran of the solar industry. Prior to joining Helio mU, he was most recently Territory Manager of Northwest America for the Solar Technologies Division of Schuco USA, a multinational leader in solar energy systems. Before his Schuco post, he was an integral member of the Solar Energy Solutions Group of Sharp Electronics, one of the world’s largest solar photovoltaic manufacturers. At each company, Huang leveraged his past experience as a corporate trial attorney to also assist with legal matters.

For Helio mU, Huang is responsible for supply chain relationships, sourcing and logistics to fulfill the company’s Investment Grade™ solar panel system standards. On the installation side, he qualifies in field solar contractor partners (Value Added Resellers, VARs) and works with them to ensure solar power system installation meets industry quality standards.
