Introducing SunRECs by Helio mU, the green power pioneer. SunRECs are Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) exclusively supporting the creation of solar electricity. The purchase and sale of RECs are a new and important way for organizations to sponsor renewable energy generation in the U.S. and support the growing renewable energy field.

Solar power producers generate Renewable Energy Certificates by generating solar electricity. Purchasing SunRECs ensures that the electricity you consume is replaced by this clean, sustainable energy. SunRECs enable your company, non-profit organization, or government institution to effectively purchase solar energy whether your facility is powered by solar panels or not.

Each SunREC is a certificate reflecting the generation of one megawatt-hour (MWh) of solar electricity by photovoltaic panels which is delivered to the electrical grid. The purchase of every SunREC displaces conventional, polluting electricity with solar energy and eliminating greenhouse gas emissions.

Shifting energy generation to solar - a clean, sustainable source of energy - reduces our dependence on electricity generated by fossil fuels, such as coal and natural gas. Every SunREC purchased helps increase the proportion of solar energy in the U.S. power supply.

Green-e's program operator, the Center for Resource Solutions, is a highly regarded non-profit organization and the leading renewable energy certification program in the nation. By maintaining rigorous compliance standards for certification, Green-e ensures REC purchases support renewable energy projects that go above and beyond government regulations and that one MWh of electricity is credited no more than once for every REC purchased.
